The gods have made a chess game of Ulysses Lincoln’s life, ripping the soldier from his young family and forcing him to face his past as he endeavors to return home to Oakland. Thumping with a vibrant pulse of music, black odyssey reimagines and reclaims Homer’s ancient story for our times with playwright Marcus Gardley’s imagination-igniting poetic style.
